A hypothetical maiden flight for Mihin Air

Mihin Air was supposed to have its maiden flight yesterday, but non-state reports indicate that it didn't actually take off! The state reports however indicate otherwise.

This is just one example of the state attempting to pull woolen-like objects over our eyes. But its such a laughable subject, especially when you have other news wires reporting the contrary. :) You can just imagine state PR officials discussing this.

PR 1: We need to do something about this. We can't afford any more bad publicity.
PR 2: Yes machang, that's true. But how can we tell the people that MA actually had its maiden flight when it didn't.
PR 1: Simple ney, we'll just put a few lines in the state newspaper saying it did. That's all.
PR 2: Adey, you are such a genius.
PR 1: Yes I am. This is foolproof, because no press was invited for the maiden flight anyways, ithing we are sira-sure!

So, who's kidding who eh?

That's quite funny actually, probably even true...

The fact of the matter is that the 'proving flight' DID finally take off at 1921 and landed back at BIA at 2330.

History won't bother to record anything else:)

I can't believe they'd print something so obviously false.

Actually, the flight did happen. I'd know cos someone close to me was on board said flight.

But nothing wrong in being cynical of the word of the press!

Yes the flight was delayed for hours due to a problem with the steering mechanism. it was finally rectified and the flight did leave at around the above mentioned time. The problem was that some idiot had notified the press that the flight was at 0930 when it was only SCHEDULED at that time...no one notified the press of the delay. The actual landing time was 0000hrs - sharp! Flight was to Thivandram India. Invitees only.

ps. It wasnt MY fault! :p
